When writing this, I was envisioning my college days with my wife. We were very young when we met and got married. Now, almost 15 years and 2 kids later we like reminiscing those college days. This is a rough sketch of a musical idea that I have about that time. I am obviously not a singer, it’s just that I hear a voice there and wanted to include it. It would sound much better with a sweet voice instead of mine…so forgive.
Cheers,
Ryan

My Dream of ‘ONE’ Happening at Abbott Loop CC!
I had a dream a number of years ago in which I was closing up an LD3 container (an airline freight container that we use at work) in the middle-back of Abbott Loop Community Church (ALCC).
It was a very complicated container . . . .
This does NOT mean I won’t be writing and posting more articles at ONEcanhappen.
It means that the articles I’ve felt necessary for me to post for revival to come have all been posted — with 6 minutes to spare. I wanted to have it done by the end of January.
I posted 78 posts at ONEcanhappen in January, far more than any previous month, much of it original.
January posts that made it into Jeff’s Writings (I mostly kept Jeff’s Writings list updated too in January):

I still posted 123 posts at ToBeFree, but not as many original as I have been. This was in part to major on ONEcanhappen. But also, I think people are finally getting it that we’re in big trouble, which is a major reason why I do ToBeFree. I’m also very interested in timing, to see when things will happen.
I’ll keep posting at all three sites, but I plan on being more in coast mode starting now to get ready for my March photography exhibit at Jitters.

This is a good example of knowing the music is from a pure, almost certainly Christian heart without even knowing the man at all.
I first heard this song on Pandora’s Ryan Stewart channel, and wow! I knew I needed to post it on my spiritual site, not just ToBeFree, before finding out that John Fluker’s background is Christian.
Some people say “don’t listen to New Age music,” because of the New Age spiritual connotations. But it mainly means ambient music, some of which is performed by some of the purest hearts in the business. Music like this can’t be created and performed by someone who isn’t resting inside.
Conversely, just because music says it’s Christian doesn’t mean the musicians performing the music are following Christ at all. Many ‘Christian’ musicians aren’t abiding in Christ, which is why they have no anointing. They’re luke warm, among those whom Jesus will spew out of their mouths. And this is the kind of stuff they mostly play on ‘Christian’ radio stations.
Anyone can call themselves a Christian, but only those with pure hearts can create and play music like this.
I also knew that Rhydian had something going on besides just good pipes before I heard him talk about Christ.
I actually wanted to have a low-power FM radio station here in Anchorage, many years ago when they said they were going to offer licenses to regular people. I was going to mainly play music from many different genres that I would personally select mainly from my heart. But the powers that be wouldn’t allow the proposal to go through; even though, we have all of this empty space on our FM dials in Anchorage.
So go ahead and use your spiritual senses to discern what you’re listening to. Just because they say they’re a ‘Christian’ doesn’t mean much. Test the spirits. Only those with peace in their hearts can do this, and this doesn’t have the word ‘Christian’ written all over it.
And some albums from the same musician may be more peaceful and/or anointed by the Holy Spirit as their other ones, mainly because of what is going on in them spiritually.
Enjoy!

I’m forever grateful to my Heavenly Father for His eternal love and mercy. Many times I’ve felt the presence of the Holy Spirit leading me through this project and cried tears of joy. Thank you for blessing me with a loving family….

If you site at a desk and like listening to the intricacies of sounds and don’t need to be hit with bass thump, read on.
I thought I’d put in a plug for some really great yet really inexpensive desktop computer speakers: Logitech Z130 — $20 (qualifying for Super Saver Shipping) at Amazon. I got mine at Best Buy, locally about 6 months ago for a tad more.
These little babies throw a great soundstage. Soundstage is a hifi term indicating how clearly the sounds are placed in the air. Some audiophiles spend many thousands of dollars to get seamless soundstage for their he-man rigs. The main goal is go have each instrument in its own place (for CDs that are recorded with this in mind), and for there not to be any audio gaps.
The reason it’s even possible for $20 speakers to throw a good soundstage is because they only have 1 speaker in the cabinet, so there is no need for an electronic crossover, of which the cheap ones kill the soundstage. When there are different size speakers in the cabinet, or if it’s attached to a subwoofer, crossovers split the freequencies, so the subwoofer just gets the lows and the cabinets get the mid-to-highs, for example. Or if there is more than one speaker in each cabinet, the crossover will send the lows to the woofer and the highs to the midrange/tweeter.
Many people think that Bose would have the best sound, because of their clever marketing. They can do some amazing things with ports to get bass out of small boxes, but they have no soundstage, of those I’ve tried, anyway.
Because the Logitech Z130s are so small, maybe 5 inches high, they actually don’t have bass, which is a big drawback. We’ll be missing the full timbre of the larger instruments. But there is no way to avoid this tradeoff without spending many hundreds of dollars more. But if you can live without bass (reggae especially takes a hit) in order to treat your mind and soul to spacial sound delights, the $20 may be worth it. The only way that I know to get full range audio with a single speaker is via the close proximity of headphones.
These aren’t going to fill a room with great volume either. They’re for placing on either side of the computer (the wider the better until you lose soundstage). We have to sit in the sweet spot. But they’re plenty loud if you’re working on your computer. I turn the volume up fairly high on the speaker (even all of the way — there is no noise), and then adjust the volume from the computer’s keyboard.
I also toe the speakers in a bit — an audiophile trick. Point the speakers directly at you — they’re not going to soundstage well pointing forward — and then angle them even further toward each other. Experiment.
The better the source material the better the soundstage. CDs will soundstage far better than MP3s. And “high quality” 192 kbps Pandora (requires subscription — worth it!) is going to do much better than “Normal quality” that the free Pandora app puts out.
And the recordings, themselves vary GREATLY too. Some recordings won’t have any soundstage at all. I listen to a variety of music, and have always liked what is called “New Age;” though, I don’t like the term, because much of it isn’t about the new age religion at all. Some is though. I avoid the weird stuff and go by feel.
Recently, I found a very interesting Pandora channel: Ryan Stewart radio. Type in Ryan Stewart into Pandora and be amazed! Almost every one of the artists’ songs are melodically deep, full of drama. It’s music that will move you while you’re working on whatever.
Pandora sometimes picks songs that really are similar to the artist we typed in, and sometimes the songs they choose aren’t even close.
if you’ve followed my blogs lately, you’ll see that I instantly became a big Rhydian fan. I love how he sings! But type Rhydian into Pandora, and they’ll only include his songs from his second CD, along with mostly big-voice Christian songs from other artists — though his first CD is pretty much secular, and his second is quite a bit too.
Here is to listening to some great music before it’s all over. And once revival hits (when ONE happens) it should then be again easier to find real Christian music. It’s slim pickins, currently. When people get close to God the music will get anointed again.
I miss when Vineyard music was hot in the late ’80s/early ’90s. Typing in Kent Henry into Pandora pulls up some good songs like “More Love, More Power.”
God bless!

– Mark Dubovoy
Every once in awhile someone comes along who helps our hearts settle — who gives us an inner knowing, confirming that something we have felt strongly about really is worthwhile to pursue.
Have you felt the forces in this world that try to keep you from being as special as you were meant to be? You feel inside you should push for greatness, but the pressure is so strong and constant to not go higher, which would rattle the mediocre-is-plenty-good-enough atmosphere that tries to keep our standards just medium.
I thought I’d share this interview on my personal blog since Mark Dubovoy has been a breath-of-fresh-air inspiration to me that having a high standard of excellence is beautiful and is right! His love for precision … details … details … is the correct standard that feels so right to me. Excellence is the right goal — and it really is so satisfying and really is fun!
There is joy in a high standard. If peoples’ hearts don’t leap, why do it? Why be just another photographer? But that’s where the pressure wants to keep us.
Mark’s smile confirms that excellence is exciting! There’s joy in this journey. We need to protect our high standard — to not let dark forces make us feel badly at all about pursuing high goals.
Let’s live higher, to inspire others to live higher too!
We’re all special!
To be what we are called to be!

An important tip from Peter (at minute-42):
“The official recommendation is that you can leave the modern image stabilization/vibration reduction on a tripod, because it senses the tripod. It’s not true. Any longer exposure than 1/16th of a second, you get blur in the image because it pings.”

I just got this email:
Latest DxOMark news – 12/01/2011 [should be 01/12/2011 – editor]
Today we are publishing new data for the Panasonic Lumix DMC LX5 sensor:
• To view full test results and scores for the Panasonic Lumix DMC LX5 click here;
The DxOMark team
www.dxomark.com
Since DxOMark had taken so long to test the LX5, having tested all of the other brands’ serious compacts long ago, I thought they had decided to stop testing the LX series. I kept checking periodically anyway, being very interested in how it compares to the Canons and its predecessor, the LX3.
I had always ruled out the LX3 anyway, because its lens didn’t have enough reach. Overall, I’ve been a pretty happy camper with the LX5. I love its 24mm width (the Canons are all 28mm) and its unique 3:2 and 16:9 feature that uses even more of the width of its Leica f/2.0 faster-than-Canons lens. (The Canons’ telephotos reach further, but I’m willing to trade that for the wider LX5 view.)
The LX5 is so small and light, compared to the G11 (Canon’s S90 and S95 are even smaller, because their lenses are slower, because they’re smaller).
But I’ve noticed its IQ (image quality) of the LX5 to be slightly less in some ways than what I had got with the G11. And I really miss the Canons’ viewfinders, which allows zooming way into the image just shot.
Here are the LX5, LX3 and G11 compared, side by side. For some reason, DxOMark’s summary page often doesn’t appear to agree with what their charts show, if you look at them individually (click on the boxes above the cameras).
The individual charts show that the LX5 is better than the LX3 in every way. But the G11 (and the S90/95 and the G12) are usually better still, but not by as much.
The most incredible revelation from these findings, to me anyway, is how Canon’s latest entrees aren’t really improved over their previous models, and in some cases the older models’ results are better. So unless there is a new feature the G12 or the S95 have that you really need, there is no reason to upgrade. DxOMark’s figures could be off at times, though. But I don’t
And the G10 still stands as the compact resolution king — 15MP crammed into this ultra tiny sensor size. The G-series is now staying in the 10MP size, which is better for dynamic range and high ISO.
Darwin Wiggett has been the biggest proponent of the G11. It looks like he doesn’t see any reason to upgrade to the G12, and that he actually likes the Samsung EX1/TL500 better: Samsung EX1/TL500 Review – A Canon G11/G12 Killer? He has some very interesting comparison photos here, like the wide angle shot of his dog, 24mm verses 28mm — HUGE difference!!! This is what I’ve been talking about. 24mm width rocks.
Darwin shows how sharp the Samsung’s Schneider f/1.8 lens is too, considering that the Canon’s G10-12 lens is very good. But I just couldn’t handle the short reach of the 24-72mm lens. The LX5’s 24-90mm was a huge sacrifice for me, after using the 140mm reach of the G11’s 28-140mm range so often. I still miss it. I plan on switching to the 4/3rds system when the next generation comes out; though, this will be much bulkier.
So it’s nice to see that the LX5 stats are improved over the LX3s in every way. And the fact that the Canons’ sensors still outperform the LX5 pretty much across the board — though, not by a huge margin — doesn’t surprise me much. I’m sometimes finding the details in the LX5 to be more crunchy. But none of these cameras’ images can be made into large fine-art prints anyway. These are fun, take-it-with-you cameras that can’t take the place of a DSLR.
God bless!

At the end of December, I was going to write this long post, which was to include the description of what I was planning to do at ONEcanhappen (so I can focus mostly on getting the prints ready for the exhibit in March), but I finally just did it at ONEcanhappen.
If you’re interested, I’ve been rocking lately, getting ‘er done!
Gonna see revival this year, I believe — The Third Great Awakening starting at Abbott Loop?
I still have a few things to write, like Paul’s elder’s qualifications revisited, and I want to share a dream I had many years ago about ONE happening at Abbott Loop.
Please pray that ONE happens at Abbott Loop. I just posted Max Lucado: A Citadel for All Christians —”In his last prayer Jesus prayed that you and I be one. … Could it be that unity is the key to reaching the world for Christ? If unity is the key to evangelism shouldn’t it have precedence in our prayers?”
Guess where I got that? From Brad Brisson’s 1/2/11 message that just now was downloadable from iTunes. You can also get it at ALCC’s site, hopefully soon. John 17 is mentioned about halfway through.
I’ve been saying this for decades!!! This is the whole theme of my ONEcanhappen site!
This made me feel really good.
It’s been a really rough, uphill battle, getting hardly any recognition….
I think we’re running around the last corner just about to cross the finish line — finally.
If you go to Abbott Loop or listen to their messages, don’t expect to feel the glory of God yet. The glory can’t come until this happens:
I believe it’s the lull before the storm. Abbott Loop has some unique and very special characteristics. They’ve seen God move before and it’s just not happening now.
They also have some leaders who have strong integrity in certain areas, like believing that the Bible really is the word of God, and it is right no matter what. And they will change to fit it when they are convinced….
So why do I spend so much time writing and researching when hardly anyone is reading my stuff, relatively speaking? WordPress put together my last year’s stats for ONEcanhappen: ONEcanhappen in review 2010. They didn’t do it for ToBeFree though.
Sooner or later certain people are going to see my site and really see. Then they’ll breath a sigh, and we’ll have revival.
That’s what I think.
If you’re reading from outside of Alaska, please root for us anyway. There shouldn’t be any competition in where will the revival start. The main thing is that it starts. And then it will spread like wildfire once people realize how we (or someone else) did it.
I should say one thing else about Abbott Loop’s really great-in-many-ways foundation. They use the NIV mainly now, and even sometimes The Message, yuck, yuck!! But they started with the King James. And we all have benefited from some great full-gospel teaching from a real, non-gutted Bible.
So stay tuned, and I’ll say what I can more often, I hope.
I was going to post this one, really long overview of what I’m up to, but then waited, and waited, until I now post this and hopefully some more mini ones to come.
I really should post more on this site. I’m pretty careful until things really get rocking at the Loop. But I could post other stuff, which I will … probably.
If anyone wants to help me open up more please comment. You can be anonymous. Don’t have to leave an email or anything. I can really use the help.
Rich is pretty much the only person who is helping me out on this site. Thank you, Rich.
We’re building the kingdom, you all. This is the real thing we’re working on here.
This is HUGE!
When ONE happens, you’ll see…. It will be totally clear.

Snow Cap Winter Warmer is an awesome beer, and is absolutely a “get it while you can” item, sold only during winter months until it’s gone.
This doesn’t taste like a typical winter ale, which are often fairly bitter and sometimes even sweet.
I was surprised to discover that Snow Cap tastes somewhat like a porter. It’s probably made with at least some roasted barley, just the right amount, less than what a porter would have.
If I was Pyramid, I’d sell this year round, calling it something else. I think it’s a nearly perfect beer in the darker beer style, including having enough but not too much hops. Very balanced.
And for only about 1 dollar a bottle, it’s a really good deal. Comes in a case of 24.
Highly recommended!

P.S.: I just looked it up. I hadn’t recognized the chocolate, and it’s interesting that the chocolate is roasted.

The stats helper monkeys at WordPress.com mulled over how this blog did in 2010, and here’s a high level summary of its overall blog health:
The Blog-Health-o-Meter™ reads Wow.

As of right now,
ToBeFree has 1/2 million hits.
Thanks, everyone!
I wish I could be more excited.
I’ve tried really hard to show what is really going on
in over 3,500 posts, so far,
but America is still going down.
However, there is a bright side,
and this is my main mission.
I expect a major spiritual revival,
the Third Great Awakening
to happen probably next year.
This will be a really big deal,
and is what my other site,
ONEcanhappen
is mostly about.
This is our only hope, right now —
other than slowing down Satan’s one-world government scheme
which is coming like a freight train.
But this is a huge hope!
When people are finally ONE with each other
and finally truly in Christ,
“then the world will know,”
Jesus said in John 17.
I can’t wait.
This will be a great day!
Then, whatever happens will be tough,
but it will be like water running off a duck’s back
for those who are truly in Christ –
even martyrdom
when we’re really filled with the Spirit.
“For as the sufferings of Christ abound to us,
even so our comfort also abounds through Christ” (2 Cor. 1).
Incidentally and importantly, the concept,
“In Christ” is clearly described by Paul in Romans 8:1b,
but not in Rupert Murdoch’s NIV –
New Illuminati Version
or many of the other new perVersions
(I’m not exaggerating. Bad doctrine
from bad translations has destroyed America!).
I recommend the NKJV or the WEB (World English Bible),
a royalty free, Textus Receptus based translation.
See
Who-Goes-To-Heaven Scriptures —
Narrow is the Way | Who are the Children of God?,
which has been online for 3 years;
it’s #1 if you type in “who goes to heaven” in Google;
and no one can refute it,
even though I’m offering $6,000 to anyone who can.
This truth is the biggest key to the revival happening really soon.
Let us be ONE in Christ!

Here it is, Rich.
From: Yahoo News
For a few hours on the night of Dec. 20 to Dec. 21, the attention of tens of millions of people will be drawn skyward, where the mottled, coppery globe of our moon will hang completely immersed in the long, tapering cone of shadow cast out into space by our Earth. If the weather is clear, favorably placed skywatchers will have a view of one of nature’s most beautiful spectacles: a total eclipse of the moon. …
Color and brightness in question
During totality, although the moon will be entirely immersed in the Earth’s shadow, it likely will not disappear from sight. Rather, it should appear to turn a coppery red color, a change caused by the Earth’s atmosphere bending or refracting sunlight into the shadow.
Since the Earth’s shadow is cone-shaped and extends out into space for about 844,000 miles (1,358,000 km), sunlight will be strained through a sort of “double sunset,” all around the rim of the Earth, into its shadow and then onto the moon.
However, because of the recent eruptions of the Eyjafjallajökull volcano last spring and the Merapi volcano in Indonesia in October, one and possibly even two clouds of ash and dust might be floating high above the Earth. As a result, the moon may appear darker than usual during this eclipse; during totality, parts of the moon might even become black and invisible.
A careful description of the colors seen on the totally eclipsed moon and their changes is valuable. The hues depend on the optical equipment used, usually appearing more vivid with the naked eye than in telescopes. The French astronomer Andre-Louis Danjon introduced the following five-point scale of lunar luminosity (“L”) to classify eclipses:
L = 0: Very dark eclipse, moon almost invisible, especially in mid-totality.
L = 1: Dark eclipse, gray or brownish coloration, details distinguishable only with difficulty.
L = 2: Deep red or rust-colored eclipse, with a very dark central part in the shadow, and outer edge of the umbra relatively bright.
L = 3: Brick red eclipse, usually with a bright or yellow rim to the shadow.
L = 4: Very bright copper-red or orange eclipse, with a bluish very bright shadow rim.
Examine the moon at mid-totality and also near the beginning and end of totality to get an impression of both the inner and outer umbra. In noting an L observation, state the time and optical means (naked eye, binoculars or telescope) that is used. We invite readers to e-mail their Danjon estimate for this eclipse (along with any pictures they’d like to share) to cmoskowitz-at-SPACE.com.
At mid-totality, from rural locations far from city lights, the darkness of the sky is impressive. Faint stars and the Milky Way will appear, and the surrounding landscape will take on a somber hue. As totality ends, the eastern edge of the moon begins to emerge from the umbra, and the sequence of events repeats in reverse order until the spectacle is over.
In Last Night, this is where I was saying I should have shot my photos from:
In hindsight, I probably could have totally avoided the clouds
shooting instead near Flattop Mountain —
getting an interesting landscape shot up there as well,
but the forecast was clouds,
so I was surprised to even see the moon at all.
And I didn’t know this would be such a long event,
taking over 2 hours —
much different than a solar eclipse.
These are the clouds that rained on my party,
a little less than half way through the eclipse
I normally don’t rant, but in Anchorage, Alaska we have this pristine water (from Eklutna Lake and well water) that we’re paying almost $100 per family to get. Yet they dump this toxic waste chemical into it which has been proven many years ago to not only dumb us down, but causes many other health problems as well.
And the only way to get fluoride out is to remove all of the other beneficial minerals as well.
Our leaders don’t seem to care; though, they know about it.
There is basically a local media blackout on the subject, which I’ve discussed before. Compare the Anchorage Daily News fluoride articles to those in Juneau’s Empire Builder newspapers, for example.
This is just so disgusting! How long will the people put up with actual poison (not even food grade fluoride)…
Here it is:
How many more hundreds of studies do we need?
I think I’m a pretty patient guy, but I’ve reported on this for over 10 years. I think it’s time to rant when we’re Americans won’t stand up for even our own mental health, being done to us in the name of “decreasing tooth decay,” which is mostly a sham, disproven decades ago.
And now they’re saying we don’t need very much Vitamin D, skewing the studies to do so, which I’ve also shown at ToBeFree — when a lack of vitamin D was probably our major tooth decay source!
It’s just disgusting. Come on everyone. We need to get this mind numbing, psych drug out of our water!
It’s literally part of what is taking the fight out of people so we lay down and put up with even the naked body scanners — which won’t just be in airports, by the way!
And we ain’t seen nothin’ yet!
The Devil is playing us like a fiddle.
