This is true in the kingdom of God too. Most pastors are Biblically disqualified, unlike Paul, who wrote the elders’ qualifications, and could say he was always right with people and God in Acts 24:16.

This is about 1/2 mile from our house. So special!!! I loved the loons we encountered, canoeing in the boundary waters in Minnesota in the ’70s! Link to the 24/7 cam is in the article. – – From: ktva.com
Live Alaska loon cam up and running at Connor’s Lake
A live streaming webcam is offering an intimate look at Mother Nature [correction: “our Heavenly Father’s creation”]. The camera is trained on a pair of nesting loons at Connor’s Lake in West Anchorage. …
“In the past you could never get close enough to see anything or else you’d disturb them,” [Jean] Tam said. “But with the camera they don’t care. They don’t know you are watching them, so you can see a lot of detail you normally wouldn’t know about.”
Tam says the female loon appears to be the same one that came to nest on a man-made floating island in the center of the lake last year. Unfortunately, the eggs she laid never hatched. This year there are two new eggs and Tam is feeling optimistic.
“Watching the chicks hatch is exciting because you can see them pecking their way out of the shells. Both of them usually hatch within a day or two of each other,” Tam said.
Tam says if her math is correct the eggs should hatch right around June 30. Viewers will be able to see it all — the loon cam is operating 24-7.
One of the funniest things I’ve ever seen! I laugh every time! Alex is brilliant and soooooooo funny — before he gets really serious as the barge nears the hotel — where the globalists are scheming their one-world government machinations, during Bilderberg 2013. Empowering!
A highlight is Alex saluting the protesters from the barge, and then seeing their reaction from video shot within the protest pen! Really cool, and GREAT VIBES!!! This is FREE———-DOM!!!!!!! A historic moment for liberty! My original Ustream post is here.
Alex with convincing, thick British accent, proclaiming to the boats passing by — transcribed by Jeff Fenske:
“Greetings, people of England, I am General Zod, and I represent the Bilderberg Group. I am here to tell you that it’s strictly that I saw royal swan. You will not even think about eating it. All royal swans are for Her Majesty. And I believe that is completely reasonable at every single level.
So again, the Queen is here; the Queen is here. She’s come to pick her swan. Then she will soufflé it for the Bilderberg group, meeting right up the canal from you. Again, when you see the Queen of virtue eyes, fall to the ground and begin worshiping her. …
Oh you’re so good. Oh you’re so great!”

Time-Lapse Shows Rescued Puppy Growing Into Adulthood on a Treadmill
When filmmaker Dave Meinert rescued a sick four-week old Great Dane puppy named Pegasus from an careless breeder, he wasn’t expecting her to live very long. After all, it had a pigment deficiency defect that leads to deafness and blindness, and most of its siblings were either dead or deformed. Meinert decided he would care for Pegasus the best he could and document her life every day for as long as she lived.
The short video above is a time-lapse showing Pegasus growing from a puppy into adulthood while doing her daily exercises on a treadmill with a camera mounted nearby. Many months into the project, Pegasus is still alive and well. “I still don’t know how long she is going to live, but right now is pretty great,” Meinert says.

Love this! And this is a very real, possible situation that could easily happen. The story:
According to the local Russian news channel m24.ru, Ivan had stopped his car near the pond to help a motorist who had broken down. But as he was talking to the driver, he heard the dog barking for help.
The pup apparently didn’t have an owner and Ivan later adopted him, naming him Rex.
The duo now appear to be inseparable. Indeed, as they were interviewed safe and dry at home Rex affectionately wandered around Ivan. (source)

Jim Rutkowski is the closest thing to a parental figure that a pair of 10-year-old brothers living on Anchorage’s Hillside have. He makes sure they eat food that won’t upset their “sensitive tummies.” When “the boys” are anxious he gives them sweet words of encouragement. And when they make a mess, he cleans it up as quickly as they’ll allow.
He’s not actually their parent; Rutkowski is their keeper at the Alaska Zoo. Korol and Kunali are actually a pair of Amur tigers — also known as Siberian tigers, an endangered species that has seen significant population drops at the hands of poachers and deforestation.

Clint Walker is interviewed for the Extraordinary TV series, which includes an inspirational true life event. Clint has always been one of my favourite US actors. I particularly enjoyed his performance as Samson Posey in The Dirty Dozen, alongside Lee Marvin and Charles Bronson, and Sam Whiskey with Burt Reynolds. I am so pleased posting this interview with Clint has been enjoyed and been so inspirational for many of you.
In his nearly three hour Archive interview, actor Clint Walker talks about the many odd jobs he held before embarking on a film and television career. He tells how he ventured out to Hollywood and landed a role in Cecil B. DeMille’s “The Ten Commandments”, and how the role led to other film projects and eventually a contract with Warner Brothers. Walker then details the series for which he’s best know, Cheyenne, in which he played the title character, “Cheyenne Bodie.” He describes auditioning for the role, how he kept in shape, and the many stunts he performed on the program. He outlines the show’s production schedule, speaks about his co-stars and famous guest-stars, and explains the importance of Cheyenne as television’s first hour-long Western. He explains why he believes Westerns were so popular in the 1950s…. He talks about other film and television appearances, including those in “The Night of the Grizzly,” the made-for-television movie Yuma, and the series Kodiak. Stephen J. Abramson conducted the interview in Beverly Hills, CA on September 21, 2012. (source)

I’ve been watching a lot of golf for the first time in my life, starting with the PGA tournament at Torrey Pines in early February (partly to see the paragliders — and the got hooked!). My mom loves to watch probably as much! The colors are so vivid on our new widescreen TV, which helps a lot — especially towards the end of another long Alaskan winter!
I played golf with my friend Steve during our University of Minnesota days, after high school — but haven’t since.
And I just watched this movie too, which was mostly delightful, and based on a true story; though, Disney made the father the bad guy, as they often do, or they present the father as a wimp. Disney is definitely pushing an anti-family agenda.
The Walt Disney Picture The Greatest Game Ever Played is the story of Francis Ouimet, a young man who is invited to compete in the 1913 US Open Golf Tournament despite his poor socio-economic. (source)
The young lady Francis is understandably stunned by wasn’t in the original story either; though, this probably does enhance the movie.
What is true and unexpected (and delightful in the movie!!) is that Francis’ caddy, Eddie was only 10-years-old, and they stayed lifelong friends. In the movie, however, Francis’ original caddy is bought off by one of the pros. But in real life, he was Eddie’s older brother, and was caught skipping school. So Eddie took his place, because he was somehow more successful in skipping school.

Delightful and inspiring movie that I would have given 4 stars had Disney not demonized the dad.
Shia Labouf was impressive, and his young caddy delightful (reminds me of smaller Patrick Reed, whom I was rooting on to win the Honda Classic in Palm Beach, a few weeks ago)!
This almost makes me cry. I had the great pleasure of being able to photograph these amazing creatures in southern Oregon at a friend’s house — and made a print of one of the images — which is hanging on the wall in front of me!

[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22wGxllC4gU]Hummingbirds – God’s Tiny Wonder | David Rives
Hummingbirds. Even though they are the smallest birds on earth, and the smallest of all warm-blooded creatures, they can still fly over 30 MPH, fly backward, and at birth, weigh less than a post-it note!
These amazing creatures flap their wings up to 80 times a SECOND, allowing them to hover over flowers filled with nectar.
They are able to determine sugar content, and only consume nectar that is at least 10% sugar. Less than that could not sustain their super-fast metabolism, with their heartbeat of around 1200 times a minute!
With this in mind, hummingbirds typically would not be able to survive a long cold night. HOWEVER, they “happen” to have a built-in mechanism called “Torpor” that goes into effect as they sleep, shutting down their metabolism to 1/15th the normal rate. It effectively slows down their heart rate from around 1,200 beats per minute… to 35 beats per minute.
Did this tiny creature evolve by chance? Or was he intricately designed and formed with purpose? Such beauty is often overlooked in today’s society, but if we only stop to consider the intricate details of a hummingbird, we can appreciate God’s infinite “wonders without number”.
I’m David Rives…
Truly, the Heavens Declare the Glory of God.

Birthplace: Found as an abandoned newborn by a rancher in a barn in West Texas, cord and placenta still attached.
His early life: Teddy arrived at Zooniversity with lots of medical problems (dehydration, peritonitis, anorexia, “failure to thrive,” you name it…) and required intensive human interaction, resulting in him being fully imprinted on humans. …
How’d Teddy get his start in the viral video world? It was all accidental. In May 2011, one of his keepers wanted to try-out a new video camera, so she recorded him eating an ear of corn and making noises and posted it on YouTube, “Teddy Bear the porcupine doesn’t like to share…” It sat unwatched for 6 months, until someone else found it and posted it on a viral site — it skyrocketed to more than 1 million views in a matter of days, with clips showing on all the major networks. It was a BIG surprise and the rest is viral history.
Why are Teddy’s videos so popular? People think his porcupine noises are his attempt at “talking” and they hear human words in his sounds, so viewers think he is speaking English, or Japanese, or Dutch – and teenagers around the world just thought he was saying naughty things.
Is he REALLY “talking”? That’s for you decide. All porcupines make some guteral noises when they’re happy or when they want to communicate something – Teddy is just more vocal than most. And, we agree, a lot of Teddy’s mumblings sound remarkably like human words. …
Why doesn’t he shoot his quills at you? It’s an old wives tale that porcupines shoot their quills — they can’t. Teddy does have 35,000 barbed quills underneath all that soft, fluffy guard hair. The quills cover every part of his body, except his face, paws and belly. We don’t often get “quilled,” as we are not a threat to him and he doesn’t feel the need to ward us off. If he did feel threatened, Teddy would first flair his tail hair and show you his quills as a warning. If you didn’t heed his warning, he’d then spin like a top and whack you with his tail full of quills. Does it hurt? Yes…a lot.

“Bright Lights” is currently my favorite song. Not the words so much, but the “things are not okay” attitude rammed home hard! Great to pray in the Holy Spirit against the forces of darkness to!!!!!!!
“For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.” – Paul (Eph. 6:12)
“From the days of John the Baptizer until now, the Kingdom of Heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.” – Jesus (Mt. 11:12)
“But YOU, BELOVED, keep building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit.” (Jude 1:20)
The third song is great too!
