This video shows what happened on Mars 17 when an CME (Coronal Mass Ejection) hit Earths magnetic field. Two days earlier, sunspot AR1692 had produced a M1-class solar flare that resulted in the CME that hit Earth.
This time lapse shows what happened during four hours over Östersund here in Sweden, between 19:20 and 23:35 UT.
The time lapse consists of 2464 raw images for a total data amount of 30Gb. The photo of the Sun is a hydrogen alpha mosaic I’ve made from 10 images that was captured on Mars 16. Total of 10 Gb data. So all in all this movie contains over 40Gb of data that I’ve been processing over the last 5 days. Hope you enjoy it.

Jeb: Last one: When I was a kid the story was that the song “25 to 6 to 4” was a chemical recipe to make LSD. What is the truth?
Lee: I have heard that one. I have heard it is about horse races as well. In reality, he wrote the song about writing a song. He is bleary eyes and sitting cross-legged on the floor and he’s wondering if he should keep going. The clock is on the other side of the room and he is wondering if he should keep writing. He has to squint at the clock across the room and he sees that it is either 25, or 26 minutes to 4:00AM. He has been writing that song all day and night. I don’t know if he finished writing it that night or not [laughter].

Finding Portland was produced, shot, and edited in 51 days during March and April at the invitation of TEDx Portland, where the video was unveiled to a sell out crowd of 650 and met with a standing ovation. Filmed in Portland and the Columbia Gorge, this time-lapse piece offers a new perspective to the City of Roses. From a Portland Timbers season opening soccer game, to the top of the Fremont Bridge, to an aerial shot of Oneonta Gorge, Finding Portland tells the story of a city and its many faces.
Comprised of 308, 829 photographs taken from over 50 unique locations, it took an average of 3.8 hours to make each second of this film. The intent of the project was to place our cameras in unique locations across the city, achieve significant ranges of dynamic camera motion, and pursue cutting edge time-lapse techniques.

Anchorage winter of 2011-12 breaks seasonal snowfall record
National Weather Service forecaster Christian Cassell takes the official snowfall measurement for Anchorage at 4 p.m. on April 7, 2012, while Daily News photographer Bob Hallinen captures the historic moment. Saturday afternoon’s snow put Alaska’s largest city at 133.6 inches for the winter of 2011-12, breaking a record set in 1954-55 by an inch.

I attended many Rodney Howard-Browne meetings 20 years ago in Anchorage, Alaska, in which violinist, Maurice Sklar played with great anointing.
One time, during group worship, WE COULD HEAR THE ANGELS SINGING. The keyboardist took his hands off of the keyboard to make sure it wasn’t his instrument.
The singing was the most beautiful and compelling I have ever heard — transcendent — a sound having so much upward energy that I would never tire of.
It sounded like it was coming from above the worship team, but in front of the stage [not anywhere near the loudspeakers].
Maurice and I were among the many (including my mom — so timely because Dad had recently died) who were GREATLY touched by the Holy Spirit during those 36 meetings, of which I attended 33.
One time, I wanted to talk to Maurice about microphones, but he was so touched by God that he had more important things on his mind.
Thank you, Maurice, Rodney and Anchorage Christian Center (now called City Church) — and Jesus!!!
May we make a home for God so He can dwell among us in fullness of joy and power!
If we build it He will come!

The original Riverdance performance in Dublin has been such a thrill for me. Yesterday, a Facebook friend, David Hayes, shared with me an earlier version, for which he said: ”
