A friend posted this TruNews (Rick Wiles) audio clip on my Facebook timeline:
Wednesday November 7 [day after the election], 2012
Guests: Steve Quayle, Augusto Perez & Jim Haddock
Topic : New assignments for the watchman
I responded:
So many people are bummed about this election. I’m not, because I knew America was going down with either Obama or Romney. They would both do their globalist handlers’ bidding. The Republican party has been jacked. And in 2008, I had a prophecy that it was already too late to reverse what’s coming.
The change with this election is that the PEOPLE will finally LOOK TO GOD INSTEAD OF MAN now, which is great news for me! Now, hopefully the people will finally be interested in getting ‘ONE’ happening — so we can be filled with the Holy Spirit no matter what happens.
My 2008 prophecy is actually very positive, because most aren’t right with one another to be able to go to heaven. And once ‘ONE’ happens, the JOY OF THE LORD will be our strength!

My attempt to shoot the aurora with a pocket camera,
laying flat on my back with the camera pointed straight up,
hand-held — thus the blurry stars.
Seeing this in person was far more AWESOME than what I captured here.
Huge donut shaped portions of the lights were pulsing
a bit faster than 1 beat per second.
I was left in tremendous awe of God:

I’ll say more later, but I changed my cargo photos category back to Cargo’s Last Stand, which had temporarily been NWA > Delta Cargo.
I originally called it Cargo’s Last Stand to document NWA’s parking all of the 747 freighters, and then changed it to something more positive when Delta took over and we just handled passenger aircraft cargo.
We just found out this morning that Delta (who bought NWA) will now outsource our cargo operation here in Anchorage, starting 1/1/13.
Leah just said on Facebook that our cargo building was put into operation by NWA in 1969:
I believe 1969 and was expanded in 1972 to what is now occupied by LSG [flight kitchen] and ELS [plant maintenance].
I started working in Anchorage in 1980, and did a shift in this same air freight building in 1981.
All of the Cargo’s Last Stand photos are still posted. Just click the category in the Categories menu on the right. There are currently 35 pages of posts.

In Anchorage, last Thursday night we had an amazing, GLORIOUS light show! The entire sky to the west, north and east was filled with glorious lights — including overhead! I witnessed this personally, and am even more in awe of God — ‘what would You have me to do?’
I saw an aurora in Anchorage about 20 years ago that was directly overhead, which I’ll never forget. I have said it was like God coming his hair. But this one had so much energy. What blew me away were huge donut shaped pulses almost directly overhead (slightly to the west and north of overhead) that looked like they were slamming down this amazing energy on me, more than one pulse per second. Selah.
And we can expect more gorgeous displays this winter. BUT our power grid and electronics are not EMP protected (explained in the links below), because Congress won’t act to protect our country for just the cost of one stealth bomber.
So hopefully we won’t get a northern lights show that is too wonderful, like has happened in the past, before we had delicate electronics.

The kids joined Scott on his new song, “Pray For Sunrise” and the classic Creed hit “With Arms Wide Open.” Scott really opened up to the kids and inspired all of us deeply with his music and his story….

Mark Dice appears in several documentary films including Invisible Empire, The 9/11 Chronicles, and has been featured on the History Channel’s Decoded and the Sundance Channel’s Love/Lust: Secret Societies and more. He has called into several top-rated talk shows dozens of times, including the Sean Hannity Show, Glenn Beck, and Michael Savage, and verbally battles with the hosts on various issues since he has never been asked to be a guest on them as of yet. Audio of some of these calls are then posted online.
The term “fighting the New World Order” is used by Mark to describe some of his activities, and refers to his and others’ resistance and opposition (The Resistance) to the overall system of political corruption, illegal wars, elite secret societies, mainstream media, Big Brother and privacy issues; as well as various economic and social issues.
Dice and his supporters sometimes refer to being “awake” or “enlightened” and see their knowledge of these topics as part of their own personal Resistance to the corrupt New World Order. This Resistance involves self-improvement, self-sufficiency, personal responsibility and spiritual growth.
Mark Dice is the author of several books on current events, secret societies and conspiracies, including his newest book, Big Brother: The Orwellian Nightmare Come True which is available on Amazon.com, Kindle and Nook. While much of Mark’s work confirms the existence and continued operation of the Illuminati today, he is also dedicated to debunking conspiracy theories and hoaxes and separating the facts from the fiction; hence the “Facts & Fiction” subtitle for several of his books. He has a bachelor’s degree in communication.

One of my former NWA bosses, Curt Jensen, took this wonderful historic shot a few decades ago, and has now posted it on Facebook. Thanks, Curt!
The DC-10 and 747 (international flight) passenger aircraft are parked at the end of the B-concourse at Anchorage International airport.
And in the background, behind the then-tiny control tower, is a Northwest Airlines red tail, 747 cargo freighter parked at our cargo warehouse with the nose open for nose loading. This was long before the transload days, when three freighters were parked side-by-side at one time.
The airport has since been remodeled. I now spend most of my time at the cargo facility, but bring freight to and from the Delta passenger planes that still park in this oft-windy location, where we also unload some of the bags and the freight. We also pick up and drop off the mail.
A Western Airlines airplane can be seen behind the B-concourse.

Here is a super sweet, super feel-good, 40-second VIDEO introducing the new Olympus E-PL5 camera! This video is especially for CAT LOVERS!
Just released hours ago (available in October), the new PEN E-PL5 has a 180° tilting screen and the awesome 16MP sensor of the Olympus E-M5! 30 lightweight lenses by different manufacturers are available for it (from fisheye to super-telephoto*), and it’s very effective IBIS (in the body image stabilization) works with all of them.
An optional electronic optical viewfinder can be attached to the hot shoe.
* Some of the lenses, especially the telephotos, don’t have the ultimate resolution sharpness and contrast, yet. Also, shallow depth of field is most often impossible to obtain with the smaller M43 sensor and the small lenses that aren’t fast enough to compare to what can be done with a full-frame sensor camera [f/stop has to be twice as fast as a full frame sensor camera to compensate for the affect of the smaller sensor on depth of field. But most of the M43 lenses aren’t even as fast as the faster full frame lenses]. Given those drawbacks, it’s remarkable what this small camera can do, usually without a tripod!
Highly recommended!

Well, I went for a walk around our neighborhood a few hours ago with my RX100. I’m documenting the power outage in our neighborhood at 4am while getting some exercise.
This time I took photos of the ‘Holiday’ gas station on the corner. It actually warmed my heart when they put it up a few years ago, having grown up in Bloomington, Minnesota, which I think is the home of Holiday stores and gas stations.
The station on the corner had this really nice looking green, chalet style roof too.
But then they put up this neon sign which sold garbage soft drinks, etc.. They ruined the corner with that gaudy, low-life neon sign. Today, the neon sign is dark, and I captured this historic moment with the amazing Sony RX100.
Holiday, please take down the neon signs, selling poison-drinks to people. They don’t belong in a residential area. Thank you.
Our 2-block by 3-block area is pitch black, surrounded by houses and streetlights that have power. Hopefully, it won’t be much longer (it’s been 32 hours), but who knows. There is no sign of the repair crews anywhere. Maybe we’re at the bottom of the totem pole in their priority list.
Maybe the transformer that was blown is flying up on a freighter from the lower 48.
Could be much worse … way worse.
Good wake up call / reality check : )
I’m so glad William Neill reposted his amazing story behind his most iconic photo! It’s his favorite, and has inspired me!
It was so dark that William couldn’t see the vivid colors (the human eye using rods instead of the cones), so he didn’t know what he had captured until after the film was developed, before the digital age had begun!

Today, I had a request from my long-time friend and master photographer Michael Frye to post the essay in which I tell the story of making my favorite image, Dawn, Lake Louise, Banff National Park, Canada 1995. Here it is as sent to Outdoor Photographer for first my On Landscape column in 1997. For more of my essays, see the OP site here.
…………..
Rising very early on a summer morning, I hoped for a dramatic and brilliant sunrise on Lake Louise and the glaciers above. Perhaps it was the two weeks of photographing in rainy conditions that biased my hopes! I waited patiently for sunrise, but my preconceived vision failed to appear as persistent clouds shrouded the mountains. It was a silent and mysterious dawn. I simply sat and soaked in the scene. Finally, I made two exposures, but expected little. I completely forgot about this session during the rest of my trip. When I saw the film after returning, I was amazed. I had to think hard about when and where I had made this photograph. Unconsciously, but facilitated by my experience and instinct, the power and magic of that landscape, at that moment, had come through on film.
The Lake Louise photograph was made with my 4×5 view camera and a 150mm lens. Due to the use of slow film, small aperture and low light, the exposure was about two minutes long. Of the two exposures I made, one was horizontal, the other vertical. …
See the photo with the rest of the article HERE
I wrote this comment in our newspaper online, last night, in response to the hit piece on the human body exhibit at the Alaska State Fair, which I had just seen.
“I was AWESTRUCK by how wonderfully Jesus created our bodies. I was almost in tears at times, having never seen how intricate and complex our bodies really are. I also now understand better how my own muscles, ligaments and tendons work together. It was just amazing, and the glory should be fully given to God! Why would anyone want to rob this experience from anyone? The smell was oil based paint. I spoke with one of the painters who painted the pipes and the ceiling overhead. So you’ll make a retraction for your error on the smell, right, Juli[a]?”
She had claimed the smell was from the bodies. I don’t see a retraction. Our newspaper has a monopoly, and is owned by a huge media corporation, McClatchy. I don’t think they care much about fair play and the truth. They almost completely ignored Ron Paul, for example.
Also, it’s been awhile since I’ve commented, so I had to re-register. I tried to use my real name, but their software wouldn’t let me. Not sure why not, but my NOHATE license plate can be seen.

I wasn’t expecting to be queasy as I walked through the “Our Body: Live Healthy” exhibit of preserved human remains at the Alaska State Fair last week. I’m not squeamish, but the pelt of human skin was a little much. And the eyebrows left on the skinless faces. And the strange chemical smell. All of that might have been OK in another environment, say a museum or a lab. But there is just something off about touring a room full of dissected human bodies at a fair, between Ferris wheel rides and visits to the pork-chop-on-a-stick stand.
Promoters say Our Body is all about science and health. But as I went through the exhibit, which links obvious health messages like “smoking damages lungs” to displays of dissected cadavers injected with plastic polymers, I couldn’t shake the feeling that what was going on was more like a macabre spectacle, like a circus freak show. Were viewers learning something? Maybe. Very little of the health information came as a surprise to me. It functioned more as a way to justify morbid curiosity.
To me, photography is the simultaneous recognition,
in a fraction of a second, of the significance of an event.
– Henri Cartier-Bresson
Its lens doesn’t zoom as far as many (including myself) would like, but if image quality is the utmost importance, the Sony RX100 sets a new, very high standard for pocket cameras!
Luminous Landscape says this:
The hottest high quality pocket camera of the second half of the 20th Century was the Rollei S35. Small size, great lens, and capable of top image quality.
Now, Sony with the RX100, which started shipping world-wide this month, seems to have stepped into the S35’s shoes. The RX100 is with little argument the best digital pocket camera to date. All the right boxes have been checked. Inexpensive it’s not, but it is pretty terrific.

Finding Portland was produced, shot, and edited in 51 days during March and April at the invitation of TEDx Portland, where the video was unveiled to a sell out crowd of 650 and met with a standing ovation. Filmed in Portland and the Columbia Gorge, this time-lapse piece offers a new perspective to the City of Roses. From a Portland Timbers season opening soccer game, to the top of the Fremont Bridge, to an aerial shot of Oneonta Gorge, Finding Portland tells the story of a city and its many faces.
Comprised of 308, 829 photographs taken from over 50 unique locations, it took an average of 3.8 hours to make each second of this film. The intent of the project was to place our cameras in unique locations across the city, achieve significant ranges of dynamic camera motion, and pursue cutting edge time-lapse techniques.
