KCC: Master, I am troubled. We learn to make powerful the force of out bodies. Yet we are taught to reverence all against whom we may use such force.
Kan: When your life is threatened, or the innocent life of another, you will be prepared to defend them.
KCC: Being thus prepared better than others, should I not always stand and fight?
Kan: Ignore the insulting tongue, duck the provoking blow, run from the assault of the strong.
KCC: Are these not the actions of a coward?
Kan: The wild boar runs from the tiger. Knowing that each being well armed by nature with deadly strength, may kill the other. Running, he saves his own life, and that of the tiger. This is not cowardice. It is the love of life.

Kung Fu – Vengeance – S01E04 An Eye For An Eye – David Carradine
This clip is taken from the episode called “A Dream Within a Dream” from series 2. Starring David Carradine and John Drew Barrymore. Sadly, due to addiction, Barrymore’s acting career was to come to an end just 2 years after this scene. Terrible waste of talent. He died from cancer in 2003.
KCC: My parents are long dead. General Jung is tumbled from his arrogance and power. Yet within me anger boils as water in a heated pot.
Kan: Observe the day lily. Each morning, with the warmth of the sun it opens in lovely blossom. Each night it closes.
KCC: I do not understand. What has a flower have to do with my anger?
Kan: Once your anger warmed you, and like the flower you opened to it. That is long past. It is night.
KCC: Am I then to do nothing, feel nothing, be still?
Kan: Still water is like glass. It is the perfect level. A carpenter can use it. The heart of a wise man is tranquil and still. Thus, it’s the mirror of heaven and earth. The glass of everything. Be like still water. You look into it, and see yourself.
Anger is the deadliest disease. It attacks the host and causes the host to attack and infect others. It can consume one in an instant and it can burn slowly and pass from one to another for lifetime after lifetime.
May all those afflicted with anger find peace and tranquility.

The snow is almost gone, which is about two weeks late this year, so I walked through this part of our yard to see exactly how many moose poop piles were dropped by our visitors this winter, and counted 36 piles of moose poop in this area we see here — and 48 piles in the entire yard!
Years ago, I enjoyed this concert on DVD very much, and just now got it out to have another look.
Even though these are young Redwoods, this must be a great setting for a concert in which love is showcased — to actually be there — and be able to look straight up — can’t be fully captured in 2D!!!
The Emmy-nominated Outside: From The Redwoods features an intimate set by Kenny Loggins packed with new arrangements of his greatest hits. Includes new versions of Footloose, Celebrate Me Home and This is It with special guest Michael McDonald.
After Kenny sang this at the PAC in Anchorage, Alaska, I stood to show my appreciation. I was surprised when no one else joined me, since to me, this is such a great song — my favorite by Kenny.
To me, this song is about attitude, when we stand up for what really is right.
Great lines:
How long must we wait to change This world bound in chains that we live in To know what it is to forgive, And be forgiven?
Do you care enough To talk with Conviction of the Heart?
Corona is my favorite type of northern lights. Watch what happens when Sean points the camera straight up!!!
To me, viewing this live here in Alaska, and even through this excellent video, my heart lights up! Displays such as this say something magnificent about the glory of our Creator!
“…the invisible things of Him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity….” – Romans 1:20
Sean is based out of North Pole, Alaska, near Fairbanks.
This was the best night of #aurora I have seen all season (be sure to watch in HD)! I had just finished shooting an aurora portrait session with the lady you see in the video. Then the sky just exploded again, so I quickly grabbed my camera and started shooting this hand-held video.
This is an example of the aurora at its best. Even up here in Alaska, it’s rare that it gets this good. It was a great show and great way to end the season (there’s actually a couple weeks left in the season, but it’s almost over).
You are welcome to share this video so your friends and family can enjoy too.
Check out our website for more of our work and information about our aurora portrait sessions:

I’ve watched about 50 Distant Shores’ episodes: Distant Shores The Sailing Adventure TV Series. The two on Syria were among the most impactful, because they opened my eyes as to how wonderful this country was, before the CIA/Mossad decided to regime-change Assad through ISIS — and would have, but Russia stepped in. Much of the country is now destroyed, including some historical artifacts.
Distant Shores’ other episode on Syria showed city life more than this one, and how modern much of Syria was. With a secular government, all of the people have freedom of religion. Many are ‘Christian.’
This is where the apostle Paul prayed and studied for three years after becoming a Christian. The most accurate New Testament manuscripts are Syrian. It’s rich in history, and we have no business being there.
I transcribed the following:
– –
@9:45 Paul Shard: “The people are so friendly.”
@18:50 German engineer:[Sheryl Shard: “Do you like it here in Syria?”] “Oh, I like it so much. If you spend 10 years of your life in the country it’s like your home country. [“What is it that you like here? What made you stay here?”] “Especially the loving of the people. The people are so kind here.” [‘We’re finding that too.”]
@22:30 Sheryl Shard: “The Syrian people have been fabulous. Everyone has been so friendly, just one-to-one in the streets. They try to help you in any way they can. It really is the best kept secret. So if you get a chance, I think you should try to get out to Syria. It is really one of the most beautiful countries we’ve visited, and I think you will find the same thing.”
Significant progress here! When we rescued him 10 weeks earlier, he wouldn’t even look me in the eye — after three years without a home. Story: Kelly – the boy nobody wanted
