Our favorite young a capella quartet is back on the Morning Blend stage! We are joined by the 15 year-old quadruplets known as Vintage Mix Quartet. We hear what Ian, Kelsey, Anika, and Julia have been up to, what’s next for them, and, of course, they treat us to some live performances!
Vintage Mix Quartet will be performing at a Memorial Day event at Wood National Cemetery in Milwaukee on Monday, May 30 at 9am (rain or shine). They will also be performing at the Heart of Harmony Show in West Allis on Sep

Asia. An ancient and mysterious land. Filled with dichotomies of passion and serenity, gentleness and harshness, intensity…and grace. It is an intricate interweaving of qualities, born of time, tradition, and culture, and this essence is reflected in its land, its people and its music.
“Graces of Asia” is a compilation album by five virtuoso women artists from Asia, which beautifully expresses the complexity of the Asian soul. The chords of the erhu, ghu zheng, pipa, and koto vibrate with a sorrowful melancholy air, conveying a sense of purity in the resounding tones. The notes of the piano ring clear and poignant, and the multi-layered vocal harmonies are stirring. Weaving a fine tapestry of sounds, these artists and their instruments evoke the richness and beauty of Asia in the hearts of the audience.

Even though these are young Redwoods, this must be a great setting for a concert in which love is showcased — to actually be there — and be able to look straight up — can’t be fully captured in 2D!!!

After Kenny sang this at the PAC in Anchorage, Alaska, I stood to show my appreciation. I was surprised when no one else joined me, since to me, this is such a great song — my favorite by Kenny.
To me, this song is about attitude, when we stand up for what really is right.

I remember the exact moment when I first heard this song — because it blew me away!!!
About 15 years ago, I was filling equipment outside in the dark winter, ramp lights turned on, with the fuel truck at NWA air freight, which had a radio. I heard this and was stunned!!! I called the radio station when I got inside to hear who it was, and then bought the CD.
The Bible says to “LOVE the Lord, your God, with *ALL* of our HEART, SOUL, MIND and STRENGTH!” To me, the audio here partly achieves this. If we’re going to worship God then let’s really worship!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The audio was probably recorded in the studio, and the video portion was reenacted; though, a nice story. The girl had been wandering, and found wholesome truth in Christmas.
It’s not just the soaring electric guitar. Something is spiritually right here; even though, some of the musicians may not even be Christians.
The heart and soul of this likely comes from the blonde, guitarist leader, probably the guy on the left. I have this DVD too, but haven’t watched it for awhile.
