More proof that the naked body scanners have been an unnecessary, dehumanizing, police state scheme (see links below). Reports of this incident now tell the public that the workers aren’t screened. Doing so, one expert admitted, would require massive expenditure and airport construction.
A plot by at least two current and former Delta Air Lines workers to smuggle guns onboard flights traveling between Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and New York City’s John F. Kennedy and LaGuardia International airports was an “egregious breach” of American air traffic security, Brooklyn District Attorney Kenneth Thompson said Tuesday.
Former Delta employee Mark Henry, 45, who was fired in 2010 for abusing the airline’s buddy pass system, received the guns from 31-year-old Eugene Harvey, a Delta luggage handler in Atlanta who has since been fired as a result of the investigation. According to a statement from the Brooklyn district attorney, once Henry cleared security, Henry met up with Harvey inside the airport and the two allegedly exchanged the guns for cash. …
Thompson said investigators believe Henry had been smuggling guns onto planes for at least five years while using employee companion passes and allegedly transferred 16 weapons — including four 9 mm pistols, a .380-caliber pistol and ammunition and magazines — on Dec. 10 alone. …
The Brooklyn district attorney estimated that between May 2014 and December 2014, Henry took guns on about 20 commercial airliner flights between the two cities, but wasn’t discovered until Dec. 10.

Hummingbirds. Even though they are the smallest birds on earth, and the smallest of all warm-blooded creatures, they can still fly over 30 MPH, fly backward, and at birth, weigh less than a post-it note!
These amazing creatures flap their wings up to 80 times a SECOND, allowing them to hover over flowers filled with nectar.
They are able to determine sugar content, and only consume nectar that is at least 10% sugar. Less than that could not sustain their super-fast metabolism, with their heartbeat of around 1200 times a minute!
With this in mind, hummingbirds typically would not be able to survive a long cold night. HOWEVER, they “happen” to have a built-in mechanism called “Torpor” that goes into effect as they sleep, shutting down their metabolism to 1/15th the normal rate. It effectively slows down their heart rate from around 1,200 beats per minute… to 35 beats per minute.
Did this tiny creature evolve by chance? Or was he intricately designed and formed with purpose? Such beauty is often overlooked in today’s society, but if we only stop to consider the intricate details of a hummingbird, we can appreciate God’s infinite “wonders without number”.

It was only a year ago that Paul described the Republican Party as overly enthusiastic for war. During a little-noticed interview with the Christian Broadcast Network, Paul remarked, “Part of Republicans’ problems—and frankly, to tell you the truth, some in the evangelical Christian movement—I think [they] have appeared too eager for war.” This was a stark assessment of his own party.
Paul went further, noting that these Republicans and evangelicals were not in sync with Jesus:
When people come to me and they’re lobbying for ratcheting up some sort of bellicose policy towards one country, even if it’s a bad country, I tell them that and when I read the New Testament, that when I read about Jesus, I don’t see him involved, he wasn’t really involved with the wars of his days. And, in fact, people rebuked him for not being [what] they wanted. They wanted somebody to stand up to the Romans. He stood up in a different sort of way, but he didn’t organize coalitions and guerrilla bands and arm them. Now I’m not saying that you shouldn’t have people who want to defend against evil, bad forces around the world, but I think you need to remember that he was the prince of peace, you know, we’re talking about “blessed are the peacemakers,” not “blessed are the war-makers.”
Horrific Torture Report Shows Why Much Of The World Considers America To Be The Nazis Of The 21st Century

Good guys do not sadistically torture people. Good guys do not threaten to sexually abuse the family members of their prisoners, and they certainly do not forcibly ram things up the rear ends of those in their custody. One of the greatest dangers that our country is facing is the fact that we are not passing on what it means to be “American” to future generations. Once upon a time, Americans were the good guys. But now, instead of fighting the Nazis we are behaving just like them. The details of the Senate torture report that was just released are almost too horrifying to talk about. We must talk about them though, because we are losing our soul as a nation. So please be warned – this article is going to be quite graphic. The reason for this is so that we can all take a long, hard, honest look at what we have become. After everything that has happened, top politicians from both political parties are still standing up and defending those that conducted and authorized this torture. The rest of the world is watching this, and the number of people that are absolutely convinced that America is pure evil is growing by the day. By not loudly condemning this torture and bringing the perpetrators to justice, we add fuel to the fire of those that hate this country, and we make it more likely that Americans will be targets of violence all over the planet. …
When I was growing up, I was taught that Americans never torture their prisoners. That was something that the Russians, the Nazis, the Chinese and the North Koreans did. We were the “good guys”, and so I was taught that we always treated our prisoners humanely.
Oh how things have changed.
The following is a summary of some of the details from the Senate torture report that just came out. As a nation, we should be deeply, deeply ashamed of what our government has been doing….
“If our understanding of the love of God is not first built on a solid foundation of the pure and holy fear of God, our understanding of His love will be perverted into a subtle form of man-centric idealism that is really a form of humanism.”
It’s still not the same as actually standing there in complete awe, but this particular video is one of the best ways to experience the northern lights without being there. Get’s really good at minute-5. Great to see the reaction of the two Hawaiian women too.

The prosperity gospel is a popular teaching in many Pentecostal and neo-Pentecostal churches. Even though there are a lot of different views on prosperity, the concept is usually understood as economic blessings that God wants to give all believers. If you have a strong faith in God, you’ll get rich. Godliness is a means to financial gain.
But what does the Bible say? Well, in 1 Tim 6:5, Paul speaks about “people of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain.” So the prosperity gospel is simply corrupt and untrue.
Oh, Great! Another Bush might run for President in 2016. News reports say Jeb Bush will pursue a run for the White House. Hey! Maybe Hillary will get the Democratic nomination for President, and we can have a choice between another Bush and Clinton. GAG!!!!!
Folks, dismiss what I’m saying if you want to, but it is an absolute fact that the Clintons and Bushes have been best buds since before GHW was President and Bill was Governor of Arkansas. It is also a fact that the Bushes and Clintons should be regarded as one big giant organized crime family. They make the Mafia look like amateurs. The crimes committed by the Bush wing of the crime family date back to before the days of Hitler.
I’ve interviewed too many people close the situation who know the truth and are not ashamed to say it–in private, that is. They wouldn’t last a week if they told all they know in public. If you don’t believe that, just visit the graves of Barry Seal, George Morales, and Johnny Molina. And don’t forget Vince Foster and Ron Brown.

Why are Teddy’s videos so popular? People think his porcupine noises are his attempt at “talking” and they hear human words in his sounds, so viewers think he is speaking English, or Japanese, or Dutch – and teenagers around the world just thought he was saying naughty things.
Is he REALLY “talking”? That’s for you decide. All porcupines make some guteral noises when they’re happy or when they want to communicate something – Teddy is just more vocal than most. And, we agree, a lot of Teddy’s mumblings sound remarkably like human words. …
Why doesn’t he shoot his quills at you? It’s an old wives tale that porcupines shoot their quills — they can’t. Teddy does have 35,000 barbed quills underneath all that soft, fluffy guard hair. The quills cover every part of his body, except his face, paws and belly. We don’t often get “quilled,” as we are not a threat to him and he doesn’t feel the need to ward us off. If he did feel threatened, Teddy would first flair his tail hair and show you his quills as a warning. If you didn’t heed his warning, he’d then spin like a top and whack you with his tail full of quills. Does it hurt? Yes…a lot.

I’ve never tried this, but this is actually really amazing, especially when knowing the coordination that’s going on among the whales to fish a school of fish this way! The fisheye lens makes them look further away than they really are.

This is NOT the best video overall… the real point of this video is to show you how truly hard it is to know where these guys are going to pop up. The coolest part is the sound (from the hydrophone)!
We were in Chatham Strait – just south west of Juneau, Alaska and we were in search of humpback whales who were bubblenet feeding. This cooperative feeding technique is not only unique to humpbacks but also only exhibited by a small number of those that cruise the inside passage of Alaska. Only around 70 of the 20K humpbacks even do this… when they break the surface it’s incredible not only to see but to hear (especially the calls and song as they prepare – Jon had a hydrophone)! There’s a caller, there are bubblers, there are pec flappers (who use the whites of their pectoral fins to help scare / herd the herring into a tighter ball) – they all have a role. But when they break the surface – incredible!
In this video, you can hear their calls (through the hydrophone) and see how difficult it is to predict where they will come up!
