This bothered me enough to write a post on.

Regular caller, 64-year-old Alaskan, Joe called into the Amy Demboski Show this morning to tell how we need to have the dividend check. He’s cutting costs so he has enough money if something bad happens.

He then actually admits on public radio:

“I just try to save. When I go to the gas station, I grab a BIG HANDFUL of towels, and that way I don’t have to buy towels at Costco anymore. You know the blue towels that you get when you go to the the gas station?”

Darrell says: “Oh yeah.”
Amy says: “Umm.”

“And when I go to the Deli at Carrs…, I always grab a BIG POCKETFUL of tissues and stuff like that, anything that I can possibly do to make it in life.”

Darrell says: “To make that little extra,” enabling Joe’s stealing tactics.

Amy says nothing to him or the audience so people know that’s not acceptable behavior.

How can they give Joe a pass like that, instead of standing up for what’s right morally?

Amy says she’s a Christian, but refuses to stand up for the truth and for what’s best for Anchorage?!

We must actually abide in Christ to be “in Christ,” “walking not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.” Then we have “no condemnation” now and when we see Jesus face to Face (Romans 8).

People not having moral compasses is destroying Alaska!

I miss Dan Fagan.
