“Is it true today that when people stand With the fire of God and the truth in hand We’ll see miracles, we’ll see angels sing We’ll see broken hearts making history Yes it’s true and I believe it I’m living for you
“I’m gonna be a History Maker in this land I’m gonna be a speaker of truth to all mankind I’m gonna stand, I’m gonna run Into your arms, into your arms again
There was a man who walked on water He came to set the people free He was the ultimate example Of what love can truly be ‘Cause His love was His life And He gave it away You gotta give it away
As we live Moving side by side May we learn to give (May, may we learn to give) Learn to sacrifice
Our galaxy,, the Milky Way, containing about 400 billion stars is both spinning and moving. It’s spinning at a little over 450,000 mph. And is moving through the universe even faster at 1,300,000 mph!
There’s a place in my heart Reserved for You Where I hear Your still small voice Whisper words of truth Every hour, every day I know You’re there Gently calling me to come To that place of prayer
Only for You I want to live Willing to serve, ready to give All that I am, all that I do Lord, may it be only for You There are times when I fail To do Your will
Falling short of Your desire
Plans left unfulfilled
But I know even then
Your love remains
There to bring me back again
To Your arms of grace
‘Cause only for You I want to live Willing to serve, ready to give All that I am, all that I do Lord, may it be only for You
Only for You I want to live Willing to serve, ready to give All that I am, all that I do Lord, may it be only for You Lord, may it be only for You Lord, may it be only for You
Use me, Jesus Use me, Father ‘Cause You know I’m Yours (All Yours) And my hands are Yours (All Yours) And my time is Yours (All Yours) To use for Your will
God is building an army Mighty warriors strong and true Marching boldly to battle Hear His voice and quickly do
And the land that Satan stole away
We’re coming back to take today So let us join in one accord Fight the battle, win the war
We are an army We’re marching hand in hand
We’re taking back the land
That Satan stole
We are an army
We’re marching hand in hand Together we will stand For our Lord
“The Pretender” reveals the activities of people in authority who in a bid to stay in power use all forms of lies and pretense to control the beliefs and emotions of citizens. The speaker explains that these Pretenders, due to their thirst for power make sure that they keep their followers in the dark so they can continually control them.
As the narrator reveals the destruction these bad people cause by keeping most people stuck, he distinguishes himself by stating that he will no longer be controlled by them. In the chorus, the writer further presents himself as a person who is willing to speak against them, expose them and fight for change while doing what is right. Despite the fact that these pretenders in authority may have not faced any opposition for a long time, he is ready to challenge them. And in doing so, he will reveal their deceptive secrets and start a revolution which will open the eyes of the majority. (source)
I TOTALLY agree with what Rick says here. I heard a song on the radio a few days ago, and immediately knew it was Jeff Beck on guitar. Rick is a master at explaining the technical, but doesn’t talk about the heart, where this comes from, and then the technical makes it possible.
Beck is now 78. And I don’t know what’s going on with his heart spiritually, but what comes out of him is often amazing.
How in the world do people actually claim that any of us just happened by chance, created by no one?
Famous in the ’80s, Tears for Fears did a major concert tour this year with both Curt and Roland at age-60. This is my favorite version that I saw online. Has some spunk, and is good quality, especially considering it’s filmed on a tiny Sony RX-100 mk 7.
It’s easy to get discouraged in Landscape photography when you visit a location over and over, but you can’t seem to get an image. On this journey, we capture the Coastal Redwoods, a location I have struggled to get an image of for 10 years.
I missed seeing ‘Cheyenne’ as a child, since I was a bit too young, but have watched many episodes recently. Many inspire virtue; are pure gold, with a few being let downs. It was a different day back then on television.
“Cheyenne is an American Western television series of 108 black-and-white episodes broadcast on ABC from 1955 to 1962. The show was the first hour-long Western, and was the first hour-long dramatic series of any kind, with continuing characters, to last more than one season.”
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow, Because He lives, all fear is gone; Because I know He holds the future, And life is worth the living, Just because He lives!
Construction begins on our new 49-foot aluminum sailboat – starting with the very first welds, which Paul is given the honour of doing!!
