The REI store is just one of the upcoming changes at the mall, which lost its namesake department store earlier this year when Sears closed. A new Carrs Safeway grocery, a Guitar Center and a Planet Fitness will move into the old Sears space, Boggs said. Those businesses are also expected to open in 2019.
