This is my experiment to make some watermarks in Photoshop in an attempt to make photos more theft resistant; though, Photoshop and I just don’t get along — so far anyway. I’ve mostly used other software to do my work, except the Camera Raw portion of PS.
This video helped get me going:
How to create a Transparent Text Watermark in Adobe Photoshop CS5
Various Watermarks Made in PS (unless noted)
Descriptions below each image
• • •
Original LR watermark I used
• • •
Transparent PS watermark is upper center
Shadow doesn’t seem strong enough, but is maxed.
Transparent text ‘Fill’ at 0%. White shadow at 100% opacity.
• • •
Watermark is lower right
50% noise added in “drop shadow.” I would think the text is supposed to be transparent with ‘fill’ at 0%, but it doesn’t appear transparent like it does above.
• • •
Similar to above, but slightly smaller and 25% noise
Drop shadow: Spread 48 & Size 210
• • •
Same as above but 13% noise
• • •
Same as above but 5% noise
The rectangle is the size of the canvas.
• • •
This one is just for fun, since it’s probably not hard to remove by the wizards
Same as above (5% noise), but red shadow &
Drop shadow: Spread 51 & Size 2
Shrinking the shadow seems to nullify the noise background
• • •
Same as above (5% noise), but brown shadow &
Drop shadow: Spread 42 & Size 250
• • •
Same as above but no noise
• • •
Same as above but 40% noise
• • •
Same as above but blue 40% noise
• • •
Different blue 40% noise
Drop shadow smaller, so more oval: Spread 29 & Size 76
• • •
Same as above, but larger canvas and different blue
• • •
Same as above, but color white
• • •
Phosphate font white shadow with noise
• • •
The following are Lightroom fonts
Phosphate font in LR at 15 opacity
• • •
Phosphate font in LR at 15 opacity – upper
• • •
Phosphate font in LR at 25 opacity – larger, center
